Visit the We Are Hockey exhibition between 3:30 – 5 p.m. and meet Randip Janda, the host of Hockey Night in Canada: Punjabi Edition and colour commentator for Vancouver Canucks game broadcasts on Sportsnet 650. 

With 10-plus years in sports broadcasting, Randip Janda has become one of Canada’s leading bilingual broadcasters. Signing on with Sportsnet in October 2015, Randip currently hosts Hockey Night in Canada: Punjabi Edition broadcast and is colour commentator of Vancouver Canucks broadcasts on Sportsnet 650 in Vancouver. 

Randip began his broadcasting career with OMNI Television, amassing editorial and production experience with OMNI News. In 2014, he stepped out from behind the camera to join Hockey Night in Canada: Punjabi Edition as a host. Fluent in both English and Punjabi, Janda joined Sportsnet 650 as a host in his hometown of Vancouver in August of 2017, before joining Sportsnet’s Vancouver Canucks regional television broadcast team as a host/reporter in October 2019. 

Throughout his 10-plus years in sports, Janda has covered a wide range of live sporting events and interviewed some of the biggest names and newsmakers in sports.
