Lori Oschefski, founder and CEO of the British Home Children Advocacy & Research Association (BHCARA) will be leading a special talk about the history of the British Home Children and her organization which seeks to raise awareness about the plight of the young migrants of whom so little is known.  Herself a descendant of a British Home Child, she understands intimately the stories of the thousands of children who have travelled far afield to find a new beginning in a strange country since their first arrival in the 1860s.

 This talk is presented in conjunction with the travelling exhibition George Paginton: Painting a Nation which is on view until February 16.
